Overview
Deadworlds is an Elite Dangerous community research project operated by Pseudo Science Inc. The project collects voluntary exploration observations and uses them to identify and investigate unusual procedural systems.
Information Deadworlds may collect
Participating clients may submit project-related exploration data including Elite Dangerous system and body information; stellar, planetary, biological, geological and signal metadata; anomaly-candidate and verification data; and technical metadata required to operate and troubleshoot the service. Deadworlds is designed around research data rather than personal profiles.
Google Drive
Deadworlds uses Google Drive only to store files and artifacts generated or used by the Deadworlds service. The application requests the limited drive.file permission. This allows Deadworlds to create and manage files used by the application without requesting broad access to unrelated files elsewhere in the connected Google Drive account.
Use of information
Information handled by Deadworlds is used to operate the service, maintain the research dataset, evaluate anomaly candidates, generate project artifacts, diagnose technical problems, and support community research. Deadworlds does not sell Google account data or project participant data and does not use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing
Research results and non-sensitive project data may be shared publicly as part of the Deadworlds community research effort. Google account credentials, OAuth tokens, and private Drive contents are not published or shared with project users.
Security
Authentication secrets and Google OAuth credentials used by the backend are stored separately from public client code. Access to Google Drive is limited to the permissions required to operate project storage.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Deadworlds develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
